Plantsville Health Products wanted to scale its environmental and livelihood impact by improving how it monitored Philippine cinnamon production. As part of the U.S. Embassy–backed Green Impact Accelerator (GIA), the social enterprise needed a digital solution that could accurately record, monitor, and validate the sustainability of its cinnamon farming operations. The goal was clear: build transparency and trust among partners, donors, and carbon offset investors while empowering local farmers.

VISON Technologies partnered with Plantsville Health to develop CiHt (Cinnamon Health Tracker), a mobile app designed to simplify and strengthen tree monitoring. The app enables farmers and field partners to capture geo-tagged photos of cinnamon trees, record GPS coordinates, and track growth over time—all from their smartphones.

This wasn’t just a tech project. It was a collaboration supported by three key partners: the U.S. Embassy’s Green Impact Accelerator, The Spark Project, and DOST–PCIEERD’s Women Helping Women program. Together, these organizations provided the funding, mentorship, and policy support needed to bring CiHt from concept to deployment.

By digitizing tree data, VISON helped Plantsville replace manual, paper-based monitoring with a scalable, verifiable system that could grow alongside the enterprise’s ambitions.

The Impact: The CiHt app transformed how Plantsville Health operates. Digital monitoring brought new levels of transparency, making it easier to demonstrate measurable climate impact to donors, government partners, and carbon credit investors. This credibility helped Plantsville secure additional support and expand its reach across Negros Occidental.

Today, Plantsville Health is preparing to scale its sustainability programs to 31 municipalities, supporting over 11,000 smallholder farmers. What started as a pilot project became the foundation for long-term growth—proof that the right technology can unlock environmental and social impact at scale.

VISON’s mobile solution didn’t just track trees. It built trust, strengthened partnerships, and empowered farmers to participate in a transparent, data-driven approach to sustainable agriculture.
